Assuming Mrs. Lafayette does not return with an objection, which is probably a dangerous assumption to make, I will be researching "The Prince" by Niccolo Machiavelli. My topic is that his principles and methods for ruling and advancement, though outdated, are still applicable within today's political and buisness world.

We talked about this today, but knowing my luck..it will end up being incomplete or something if I don't have it BLOGGED.

Kite Runner, and the social behaviors of immigrants (maybe particularly from the middle east?)and how they bond together..or as opposed to immigrants, I can just do family. Or the strength of blood. You know where this is going because we talked about it. Kcool.

I hope I can still do this given Jake's blog thing- I will be researching Machiavelli's "The Prince" and how it impacted the philosophical, psychological, political and historical aspects of that time period, and how it continues to do so today. This is very similar to Jake's but I thought he changed his and I will focus more on the historical accounts, rather than today's business aspects. -Tim Foley

Well, she did turn it down, so I will be researching "the Courtier" by Baldasarre Castiglione and attempting to prove that his theories are antiquated and no longer hold relevance.
